Catering is a business, which provides food service at different occasions and locations. There are two types of catering services: Mobile caterers and event caterers. Mobile caterers serve food in an outdoor location in a cart or any other vehicle suited for this work. You can find such food services in streets, market places, concerts, outside working places, and many such places. Event catering is a foodservice provided at the location of an event like weddings, birthday parties, etc. This food service includes the staffs that serve the food to the guests or customers. This can also include the dining table services or a buffet service. The staff and owner of this type of catering service are a part of the food Industry. Such a caterer have a choice to either prepare the food in advance, according to the menu decided by the organiser of the event, at the location of the event or prepare it at their work place and then bring the prepared food to the event location and give the final finishing or garnishing.

Whatever kind of a catering service one might own, every caterer needs certain Catering Equipment, which are an indispensable need for anyone in the Food Service Industry. The food industry cannot function or strive without these highly functional and usable equipments. They are a requisite to meet the growing demand and types of services in this field and to be able to finish work on time and to provide quality services. is necessary to be able to prepare different types and different cuisines of food, to preserve raw material and prepared dishes, and for many other intrinsic functions of the food service industry. These equipments includes ovens for baking and roasting purposes, refrigerating units for preserving, storing and freezing purposes, all possible variety of cooking equipments and they may even include utensils , cutlery and crockery for serving food. These equipments come handy for the caterers in various events like dinner parties, wedding parties, birthday parties and other occasions and are not only used by catering service providers but also by restaurants, canteens, pubs, bars, schools, etc. these equipments are also used by bartenders in pubs and bars. Those are called Bar catering equipment, which contain an array of equipments, like glasses: wine glasses, cocktail glasses, beer mugs, martini glasses, etc and ice maker, glass washers, drink blenders and mixers, wine buckets, bottle openers, and many more equipments needed in a bar.

A caterer should think before purchasing these highly important equipments, as they help them work better, faster and enhances the presentation part of their service. Therefore, the most important factor to be kept in mind while choosing these equipments is Quality. Choose a brand name that is reputed and reliable and is well known in the market for its quality. Do not just go blindly after the cheaper ones as they do not last long and does not create a good impression on the clients, and in this field, leaving an ever lasting impression on the customers is necessary.
