Investors are able to enjoy a good income from their golf holiday lets aimed specifically at golf enthusiasts. Catalunia The PGA course ‘Golf de Cataluna’ near to Girona is one of many outstanding courses in the north east of Spain. Although this region doesn’t boast as many courses as other areas of Spain, it can certainly attest to having some in the most beautiful of settings. Costa Blanca Las Ramblas, Villamartin (host of the 1997 Mediterranean Open), La Sella and some of the newer courses such as La Finca are some of the many courses which are drawing thousands of expat property buyers to the Costa Blanca regions golf resorts. Costa del Sol Almost all of the Spanish Costas are dotted with golf courses creating a multi-billion euro industry. Due mainly to the consistency of climate and the ease of getting there, the Costa del Sol has positioned itself as the ‘cream of the crop’ in terms of quality and quantity of courses. This stretch of coastline alone has over thirty courses making up almost half of the sixty plus in Andalucia as a whole, with many of these hosting world championships on a regular basis.
